Since We Last Spoke..
10/4/2018
September was kind of like a blur. So many things happened in such a short amount of time. Not only did we pour our beers at the Great Lakes Brew Fest, but we were voted as "Best Brewery Overall" and "Sole Survivor" and "Toast" we're voted as the top 2 beers at the fest. We are truly humbled and honored to have received all of that support at our first festival.
Following the GLBF, Brandon and Tony headed to Denver for the Great American Beer Fest to sample some of the best beers from around the United States. A lot of good times had in such a short amount of time. Might become an annual tradition.
Have some cool brew days to add to the site soon featuring our last cereal beers of the year: Count Stout and Frankenberry Weiss. We're looking forward to drinking those when they're done.
We're also coming up on our 5 year anniversary and still trying to figure out what we're going to do for it, but it will definitely be a night to remember for the entire club.
Thank you again to everyone for all the support and we look forward to sharing more beer with you soon. Until then, Cheers!

Great Lakes Brew Fest 2018
09/16/2018
We came, we saw, we shared 20 gallons of beer! What an awesome time this weekend. The event was as great as ever. We had the opportunity to share our beer alongside some great Midwest home brewers as well as sample some craft beer from some of the big boys.
We began pouring beers for the VIP ticket holders at 2pm and the crowds just kept coming. We made it all the way to 6pm right before the fest ended and we there were completely tapped out of all four beers. We got some great feedback on the beers, a few friends came out to supports us and made some new friends along the way. We would definitely love to do it again next year. Cheers!

Beer Art
09/06/2018
Beer is art and sometimes you need more art for said art. We reached out to some friends to help bring some more life to our beers by putting some labels together for two them.
Lou Contreas of LC74 Design Co did the artwork for our "Toast" beer. Be sure to follow him on Instagram @LC74designco and hit him up for your graphic art needs.
Kevin Goggin did the art for "Smooth Sailing" and is known for his clever play on words with his art. Follow him on Instagram @buzzstomp for more of his work.
Big thanks to both of them for their hard work.

Sole Survivor Solera
09/01/2018
Since we're two weeks (!!!) away from the GLBF, it's time to start kegging the beers. This morning we pulled 5 gallons of the "Sole Survivor" Imperial Sweet Stout and kegged it. After doing so, Brandon and Tony topped of the barrel with fresh 5 gallon batch of the same beer. We're really happy with how this beer is tasting and looking forward to sharing it with everyone.
We're also very excited to officially start our solera program with this beer. For those that don't know, solera is a process for aging beer by blending in such a way that the finished product is a mixture of ages, with the average age gradually increasing as the process continues over many years. So what we're pouring at GLBF will be different that what we pull a year from now or even two years from now depending on how long we keep it going.
